Sacramento Construction-Bob growth Lags California Rate

The Sacramento region is adding construction jobs again. To be exact, 1,600 from July 2013 to last month.

But the growth rate is lower than seen in many other parts of California, according toTom Holsman, CEO at the Associated General Contractors of California. And despite the downtown arena, prospects don’t look good for much change here.

“It’s encouraging, but not really thriving,” Holsman said of the figures released Wednesday. “The Sacramento region is really kind of lagging where we expected it to be.”

Division of Workers’ Compensation Posts Ethics Advisory Committee Annual Report for 2013

The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has posted the 2013 ethics advisory committee’s annual report on its website. The workers’ compensation ethics advisory committee is a state committee independent from the DWC that is charged with reviewing and monitoring complaints of misconduct filed against workers’ compensation administrative law judges.

The ethics advisory committee is required to make a public report each year summarizing activities in the previous calendar year.
